We are looking for a Finance Manager, responsible for reporting the collation of monthly figures through the consolidation system.  Responsible for the calculation and input of entries into the company financial system in order to produce accurate and timely management accounts for the business.  They also ensure that all balance sheet accounts for which they are responsible and are reconciled on a monthly basis to ensure the company's assets and liabilities are correctly stated 

Role responsibilities and summary

  • Responsible for ensuring that the company accounting is in compliance with financial reporting standards and with company accounting policy.
  • Monthly consolidation of results and reporting to Elis through the consolidation system (BPC).
  • Provide information as required by Group or others for interim and annual statutory reporting and for tax purposes.
  • Work to prepare the annual statutory accounts.
  • Calculate and post journals either to permanently update records or to recognise an accrual or liability in the accounts for management accounting purposes.
  • Ensure all transactions are processed in a timely fashion, accurately and in accordance with company procedures.
  • Ensure balance sheet accounts as allocated are reconciled each month to the underlying ledgers or records and that any errors are cleared.
  • Liaise with sites and controllers and others to resolve queries accurately and in a timely manner. Also act to advise others in the correct treatment of entries to the accounts.
  • Report information to Elis Central Finance including cash forecasting and daily cash management information.
  • Work to develop improvements in systems and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy of transaction processing.
  • Provide information as required on transactions processed for analysis or budget purposes.
  • Liaise with external and internal audit teams.
  • Responsible for Banking, cash and treasury operations

•    Experienced in working in an environment of high volume transaction processing.
