The role of Learning & Development Advisor contributes in a hands-on way to the creation, delivery and embedding of the Learning & Development element of the People Strategy; acting as a ‘Centre of Excellence’ for the delivery of Learning & Development strategies, policies and processes.
Your Mission at Elis
You will primarily focus on supporting the design and delivery of a revised core training offering across the whole organisation. This will include supporting leadership and development training at management and senior level. This will also include supporting functions of the business with initiatives, policies & processes and placing technology at the centre of the development experience. This will be a hands-on role involving the communication, delivery and education of programmes across the organisation.
Key responsibilities will include:
- To ensure that the company’s vision, values and policies thread through all development
- initiatives
- To design and deliver internal training programs in an engaging and impactful manner across different levels of employees, from entry level to mid-level managers
- To monitor and report on training completion and engagement
- To ensure all training resources and materials are available and are current on our internal SharePoint system
- To successfully manage third party training and development relationships
- To support the wider HR team and talent development manager with the review, implementation and successful completion of apprenticeships
- To support the wider HR team and talent development manager in the collection, analysis and reporting of learning system data (currently SAP, TalentSoft and Moodle workplace)
- Undertake the day-to-day management and upkeep and data reporting of our Learning Management System(s) (currently Flick, Watch & Go & Moodle workplace) including local system administration (currently SharePoint)
- To support the wider HR team in various activities as and when required
- To keep up to date with L&D industry trends and apply these learnings in L&D activities
- To work closely with the talent development manager to deliver on the businesses’ overall development strategy.
- To represent the Talent Development function in a trustworthy and professional manner
What will make you stand out?
Knowledge / Skills
- Demonstrable experience in designing and delivering training programs (desirable)
- An understanding of L&D best practice principles
- Highly organised and disciplined in managing a varied workload
- Experience and competency in using technology (Microsoft office, teams, LMS experience preferable)
- Strong influencing and relationship building skills.
- Ability to use own initiative to complete key objectives
- Commercially aware, able to articulate and demonstrate the value add of learning
- interventions
Education / Experience
- Bachelor's degree, and/or equivalent experience in a learning and development role. CIPD level 3 qualification desirable.
- Experience using Microsoft office and Teams
- Experience designing and delivering training
- Proficiency in documenting processes and keeping up with industry trends.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
