We are looking for a dynamic Production Leader to drive operational excellence within our laundry facility. In this vital role, you will lead and manage a Production team to achieve site business objectives, ensuring processing quality, quantity, and service meet our high standards.

You will assist the Production Manager in day-to-day operations, fostering a safe and productive environment while championing continuous improvement and LEAN methodologies.

Your Mission at Elis

  • Team Leadership: Coach, motivate, and support your staff, ensuring a strong management structure that adapts to volume forecasts and budgets.

  • Operational Excellence: Manage and control all activities in accordance with the production plan, ensuring customer deliveries are on time, on cost, and to the highest quality.

  • Performance Management: Analyse and drive performance across Quantity, Advance-Delay, Productivity, and Quality. You will be responsible for reporting key performance indicators (KPIs) such as productivity, utilities consumption, and OTIF (On Time In Full).

  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to the Company’s Health and Safety Policy and national legislation. You will be responsible for the safety and wellbeing of your team.

  • Continuous Improvement: Drive the effectiveness and efficiency of functional activities and implement first-level maintenance according to the Golden Rules of Maintenance.

  • Staff Development: Lead recruitment, induction, and performance reviews (PDRs) using SMART objectives to develop your team’s potential.

What will make you stand out?

To succeed in this role, you will be a self-motivated leader with a proven track record in the supply industry, preferably at a supervisory level or above.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.

  • Safety: IOSH certificate or equivalent qualification.

  • Experience: Experience working within a highly focused Production environment.

  • Technical Skills: Practical knowledge of LEAN Six Sigma methodologies and basic PC literacy.

  • Leadership: Excellent communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships and manage performance, absence, and grievances.

  • Mindset: Highly customer-focused, flexible, and able to deliver quality results under pressure.
