Introduction

Elis is a global leader in circular contamination control solutions, supporting highly regulated industries such as pharmaceuticals, life sciences, medical devices, and micro‑electronics. Our Cleanroom division provides end‑to‑end rental, laundering, sterilisation, traceability, and management of cleanroom garments and systems, ensuring full compliance with ISO classifications, EU GMP Annex 1, and customer SOPs.

As a Key Account Manager – Cleanroom, you will provide regional sales leadership to drive profitable growth, strengthen customer partnerships, and support business performance in line with the Cleanroom strategy and Elis Group values. You will manage and grow a portfolio of strategic cleanroom accounts, increasing revenue and share of wallet, while also developing new business opportunities within existing and prospective customers.

This role will be covering North West UK

Your Tasks

Strategic Account Management

  • Develop, implement, and continuously progress Key Account Plans for assigned customers.
  • Build a deep understanding of customer operations, contamination risks, regulatory obligations, and future requirements.

Business Development & Growth

  • Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities to grow revenue within existing accounts.
  • Identify and secure new cleanroom customers within target industries.
  • Collaborate with the wider sales team to maximise profitability through up‑selling and cross‑selling of garments, systems, and value‑added services.
  • Develop pan‑European opportunities for customers headquartered in the UK, working closely with group stakeholders.

Technical & Solution-Based Selling

  • Lead a technical, consultative sales approach, positioning Elis as a contamination control partner rather than a supplier.
  • Translate customer needs into compliant, cost‑effective cleanroom solutions aligned with ISO and GMP standards.
  • Work closely with Product Development and Marketing to introduce new solutions that foster sustainable and profitable growth.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for key customers.
  • Manage communications between customers and internal teams, ensuring seamless execution and service delivery.
  • Build strong, long‑term relationships at multiple decision‑making levels (Operators, Production, QA, HSE, Procurement, Senior Management).
  • Resolve issues and complaints professionally to maintain trust and customer retention.

Contracting, Training & Implementation

  • Negotiate contracts and agree timelines for performance and service delivery.
  • Consult, train, and support customers with implementation of garments, systems, and best practices at end‑user facilities.
  • Educate and inspire customers on contamination control, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Reporting & Performance Management

  • Ensure delivery of agreed objectives and KPIs, including revenue, margin, and retention targets.
  • Prepare regular progress reports, forecasts, and risk assessments (including EBIT impact) for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of cleanroom industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes.
