The Opportunity

Business Development & Sales

  • Manage the sales pipeline and take ownership of generating revenue and securing new business opportunities.
  • Develop and execute prospect account plans, including growth targets, market entry strategies, and engagement plans.
  • Maintain a robust pipeline to support and exceed business targets.
  • Provide accurate sales and revenue forecasts and report on business performance.
  • Identify and develop relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders across target organisations.
  • Present commercial solutions to senior leaders and C-suite stakeholders within designated sectors.
  • Represent the business at industry and sector events to enhance market presence and identify new opportunities.

Commercial & Strategic Planning

  • Create profit and loss forecasts for significant new business opportunities.
  • Develop commercially viable solutions that align with customer needs and organisational objectives.
  • Demonstrate strategic thinking and market awareness to support long-term business growth.
  • Prepare and deliver regular presentations on pipeline performance, business activity, and revenue forecasts to senior stakeholders.

Stakeholder Management & Collaboration

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across operational, commercial, and support functions to achieve new business objectives.
  • Lead and coordinate virtual project teams throughout the sales process.
  • Build strong internal and external relationships to support successful business development activities.
  • Take ownership of the customer onboarding experience in partnership with mobilisation teams.
  • Ensure smooth and comprehensive handovers to account management teams following successful contract implementation.

Process & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the CRM system.
  • Ensure all contract documentation and administration are completed accurately and submitted on time.
  • Operate professionally and consistently in line with company values and standards.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the business.

Experience

  • Proven track record of success in strategic account sales and business development.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering new business growth within a sales-driven environment.
  • Experience developing and managing complex sales pipelines.
  • Experience working within a continuous improvement environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and complex sales opportunities.

Additional Requirements

  • Willingness to travel nationally on a regular basis, including customer visits, presentations, and industry events.
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams.
